Make Restaurant-worthy Hummus at Home!
This Mediterranean Garlic Hummus is bursting with flavor and super easy to whip up. Perfect for dipping veggies, pita bread, or even using as a spread on sandwiches!
Here's what you'll need:
- ⅓ cup tahini
- 2–4 tablespoons cold water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ¾ teaspoon sea salt
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, rinsed & drained
Optional toppings:
- Olive oil drizzle
- Chopped parsley
- Ground sumac or paprika
- Toasted pine nuts
- Chopped veggies (feta cheese optional!)
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients (except toppings) in a food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. Add water 1 tablespoon at a time if too thick.
- Taste and adjust seasonings.
- Transfer to a serving platter and top with your favorites! I used chopped fresh parsley, a sprinkle of paprika, non-dairy feta cheese, chopped cucumbers, Kalamata olives, and tomatoes.
Tip: Roasting the garlic cloves for a deeper flavor takes this hummus to the next level!
**Enjoy! **
